The Great UK Net Zero Swindle

It’s clear the World is suffering from significant climate change. Less clear is what the UK should or could be doing about this.

Activists, many politicians, and the media are all promoting the critical importance of a UK net zero target for carbon emissions.

This is a swindle, a Great Big Swindle

The UK accounts for 1% of Global CO2 emissions from energy production. If the UK achieve net zero, the effect globally would be equivalent of one UK person promising to stop pissing in a swimming pool, while 31 Chinese, 14 North Americans and 7 Indians continue to empty their full bladders in the same water.

Those 3 countries account for over 50% of all Global CO2 emissions, the UK is 18th in the list of highest CO2 producing countries.

In the last 50 years, Global CO2 emissions have grown by nearly 40%, the UK emits 40% less, China 210% more.

In the last 10 years, Global CO2 emissions have grown by 4%, the UK emits 36% less, China 24% more and India 46% more.

In the last 5 years, Global CO2 emissions have grown by 2%, the UK emits 22% less, China 8% more and India 8% more.

The UK is not the problem, if the aim is to lower Global CO2 emissions, China and other large economies, including the USA, are where this problem needs to be tackled, urgently.

The Climate change and Stop Oil activists should switch their energies in the UK problems we can change, like stopping the polluting of our water, land and air with, raw sewage, landfills and pesticides, and the burning of any dirty fuels.

Politicians and the media should stop promoting UK net zero, which even without the huge costs involved, is the Great UK Net Zero Swindle.

And Activists, if you have an iPhone in your pocket or own an Apple Mac, 90% are manufactured in China, the World’s most polluting country.
